Description

"Millipede" is a classic arcade game developed by Atari and released for the Atari 7800 console in 1984. In this fast-paced shooter game, players control a tiny elf in the bottom center of the screen who must defend against waves of insects descending from the top. The main enemy is the millipede, which gradually descends while spawning more bugs and obstacles. Players must shoot and destroy the insects while avoiding being touched by them, as well as dodging obstacles like mushrooms which can obstruct their movements.

Featuring colorful graphics and intense gameplay, "Millipede" is beloved for its challenging mechanics and addictive nature. The game is a direct sequel to Atari's popular title "Centipede," continuing the tradition of frantic shooter gameplay with an insect theme. Players can earn points by shooting down the various enemies and advancing through increasingly difficult levels. "Millipede" remains a celebrated title in video game history, known for its innovative gameplay and enduring appeal among retro gaming enthusiasts.
